Direct dialling of the service phone
number (factory fitted radio only)
At the press of a button you can make a
service call to a phone number at the factory.
This phone number is stored in the hands-free
system.

To make a service call: press the Service
24 h button.
A brief beep tone sounds. Keep the button
pressed down in order to establish a con-
nection. If you release the button straight
after the beep tone sounds, the connection
is not made.
A recorded message prompts you to trans-
mit the vehicle identification data.

To start data transmission: press the
Service 24 h button again.
After the vehicle data has been received,
you are transferred to a member of the
service staff.

The service phone number can only be
changed at a Mercedes-Benz Service
Centre.
Direct dialling of a phone number
from the phone book (factory fitted
radio only)
At the press of a button you can dial a phone
number of your choice from the phone book
of the connected mobile phone. You must
allocate the name "FSEBT" to the phone num-
ber for direct dialling via the hands-free sys-
tem. The use of lower or upper case letters is
unimportant. As a precaution, the entry
should be made both in the internal phone
book as well as in the phone book on the SIM
card
(N mobile phone operating instructions).

To dial directly: press the * star button.
A brief beep tone sounds. Keep the button
pressed down in order to establish a con-
nection. If you release the button straight
after the beep tone sounds, the connection
is not made.

Access to the phone book or address
book is not guaranteed for all phones on
the market.
If calling a stored phone number is not pos-
sible or no phone number is stored, a beep
tone sounds for two seconds.

Steering wheel operation

If your vehicle is equipped with a multi-func-
tion steering wheel, you can operate the fol-
lowing Bluetooth hands-free system func-
tions using the steering wheel buttons:
accepting a call

ending a call

rejecting a call
R
adjusting the call/ring tone volume (+ / -)
