Basic functions
Activating
The hands-free system is activated automat-
ically with the vehicle ignition. The button illu-
mination is only switched on in night mode.
The hands-free system immediately attempts
to establish a Bluetooth
your mobile phone. The precondition for a
successful connection via Bluetooth
previous pairing of the hands-free system
with one or more mobile phones
(
Y
page 14).
Switching off
Deactivation of the hands-free system is
delayed by the run-on time. During the run-on
time, the hands-free system remains fully
available. The run-on time begins, as soon as
the ignition is switched off. The run-on time is
stopped during a call for up to two hours.
After two hours have passed, the hands-free
system is deactivated, regardless.
The run-on time can be set at a Mercedes-
Benz Service Centre using the vehicle diag-
nosis system. The standard setting is 30 sec-
onds.
Pairing the mobile phone – quick
guide
X
On the mobile phone, activate Bluetooth
and select the "Mobile phone visible" set-
ting (N mobile phone operating instruc-
tions).
X
Press the 6 and ~ buttons on the
hands-free system simultaneously for
three seconds.
X
Enter the access code 3732 (standard set-
ting) into the mobile phone.
