You must observe the legal requirements for
the country in which you are driving when
operating a mobile phone in the vehicle.
If it is permitted to operate a mobile phone
while the vehicle is in motion, you must only
operate it when road and traffic conditions
allow. You could otherwise be distracted from
the traffic conditions, cause an accident and
injure yourself and others.
If you use hands-free mode to make a call, you
must continue to drive carefully, close all the
windows and prevent any disruptive noises.
Basic telephone functions
Incoming call

If there is an incoming call, the active
audio source is muted. After the call is
ended, the audio source is switched on
again and in replayed at the original vol-
ume. In the radio display the PHONE mes-
sage is shown (factory fitted radio version
only).
If there is an incoming call, the green LED in
the 6 button (accept) and the red LED in
the ~ (end call) button lights up.
Accepting a call

Press the 6 button.
During the call, only the red LED in the
~ button lights up.

To end a call: press the ~ button.
Rejecting a call
X
Press the ~ button.

Calling

Enter or select the desired phone number
via the keypad or the phone book of the
mobile phone.

Press the 6 button.
Dialling starts.
Redialling

Press the 6 button (not when there is
an incoming call or during a call).
The last phone number dialled is redialled.
Toggling
Toggling is a service which allows you to
switch back and forth between two active
calls. During a call, a second incoming call is
signalled by a call-waiting tone.

To accept the second call: press the
6 button.
The second call is now active. The first call
is now "waiting".

To switch between both calls: press the
6 button.

To end an active call: press the ~ but-
ton.
The call that has been waiting is now active.

Recommendation: only use the toggling
feature in conjunction with the hands-free
system, as using the mobile phone directly
may cause malfunctions.
Deactivating the hands-free function
(private mode)
During an incoming call or an active call, you
can interrupt the audio connection between
the mobile phone and the hands-free system.
The conversation is then conducted via the
mobile phone and not over the vehicle speak-
ers (private mode). You can only activate "pri-
vate mode" on the mobile phone using the
