Aligning.Fence
To ensure cutting accuracy when the fence is first
installed, the fence should be aligned with the miter slot.
To.align.the.fence.parallel.with.the.miter.slot,.do.these.
steps:
1.. DISCONNECT BANDSAW FROM POWER!
2. Make sure the miter slot is aligned with the bandsaw
blade (see Page.29).
3. If the fence is mounted on the left-hand side of the
blade, remove it and remount it next to the miter
slot.
4. Loosen the four cap screws located on the top face
of the fence (see Figure.42).
5. Adjust the fence face parallel with the edge of the
miter slot, as shown in Figure.43.
6. Tighten the cap screws that secure the rail to the
table, being careful not to move the fence.
NOTICE
Adjusting.the.fence.parallel.to.the.miter.slot.does.
not.guarantee.straight.cuts..The.miter.slot.may.
need.to.be.adjusted.parallel.to.the.side.of.the.
blade..Refer.to.the."Aligning.Table".instructions.on.
Page.29..
Note:.Refer to the Calibrating Fence Pointer
section on Page 57 for instructions on adjusting
the fence pointer.
