Chapter 6. Function keys

The following table describes the functions of function keys and key combinations.
F1 Cuts off or turns on the volume.
F2 Decreases the volume level.
F3 Increases the volume level.
F4 Enables or disables the built-in microphone.
F5 Refreshes the desktop or the currently active window.
F6 Enables or disables the touch pad and touch pad buttons.
F7
Changes the wireless settings (windows 7).
Enables or disables the airplane mode. When airplane mode is enabled, all wireless communication
from and to this computer is unavailable (windows 10).
F8 Enables or disables the built-in camera.
F9 Locks the screen.
Note: Press any key on the keyboard to wake up the computer.
F10 Toggles the display between the computer and an external display device.
Note: You also can use the Windows+P combination to access this function.
F11 Darkens the display.
F12 Brightens the display.
