The upper ball joint boot will look crushed and out of shape when the car is in the air, this is OK.

The boot will seat when the car is on the ground.

Front Suspension Torque Specs Chart

Front lower control arm to frame

Front lower ball joint to spindle

Upper A-arm to frame

Upper ball joint to IFS spindle bracket

Sockets, Ratchet, Torque wrench, chassis grease, rags, brake cleaner,

Mustang front brake calipers and rotors

Make sure that your brake pads and rotors are in good condition.

Make sure that the hub bearings are greased correctly and adequately.

Push the rotor onto the spindle.

Push the outer bearing on then the flat washer, and adjusting nut.

Adjust the bearing play.

Attach the nut lock and insert a cotter pin.

Using a large socket or a flat head screwdriver and rubber mallet, hit the dust cap onto the rotor.

Clean the rotor with brake cleaner.

Install the caliper on the spindle; make sure that the fluid bleeder is at the top of the caliper. Torque the

caliper mounting bolts to 61-88Nm (45-65lbft).
