Searching for a Particular Point on a Disc Z
You can locate a particular point on a disc by monitoring
the picture, playing back slowly or playing frame by
frame.

Depending on the DVD/VIDEO CD, you may not be able to do
some of the operations described.
Locating a point quickly by playing a disc
in fast forward or fast reverse
(Speed scan)
Press 3 or # while playing a disc. When you find the
point you want, press H to return to the normal speed.
Each time you press the 3 or # button during Speed
scan, the playback speed changes. Two speeds are
available. With each press, the indication changes as
follows:
1M y 2M (playback direction)
1m y 2m (opposite direction)
The 2M/2m playback speed is faster than 1M/1m.

Locating a point slowly by watching the
screen (Slow-motion play)
You can use this function only for DVDs or VIDEO CDs.
Press

while playing a disc. When you find the
point you want, press H to return to the normal speed.
Each time you press the
