2. Feed Rollers and Friction Pad Replacement
1. Remove the manual feed table (See Manual Feed Table Removal).
2. Remove the upper front guide plate [A] (2 screws).
NOTE: Steps 1 and 2 are for 1st feed station only.
3. Remove the feed roller [B] and hub [C] (1 snap ring [D]).
4. Press down on the cassette arm [E] and remove the friction pad holder
[F] (1 screw and 1 cam roller).
5. Strip the old friction pad [G] off and clean the surface of the friction pad
holder.
6. Install the new friction pad.
7. Grease the friction pad holder swivel point with Mobil Temp 78.
8. Reinstall the friction pad holder (1 screw and 1 cam roller) while holding
down the cassette arm.
NOTE: -
Make sure the legs of the friction pad holder are positioned under
the spring loaded pad positioning mechanism.
- Adjust the gap between the feed roller and the friction pad. (See
"Feed Roller/Friction Pad Gap Adjustment")
9. Reinstall the feed roller and hub (1 snap ring).
