Operator Panel Service Check

Symptom Explanation
Nothing appears on the
display, buttons or LEDs
fail, but the printer starts

Action
1. Disconnect the power supply connector from the
controller board.
2. Remove the controller board.
3. Check for 5 V dc at pin 2 of the CNPOW connec-
tor with the connector plugged into the logic
board. If it is not correct, replace the power sup-
ply.
1. Disconnect the power supply connector from the
controller board.
2. Remove the controller board.
3. Turn on the printer and see if anything displays on
the operator panel. Turn the machine off within
ten seconds to avoid going into a Long Clean.
If nothing appears on the display, replace the opera-
tor panel.
If you still have the problem, replace the logic board.
If you replace the logic board, go to the
Adjustment Mode" on page 4-4
position adjustment, and the direction offset adjust-
ment.
