4.4 Function Keys (Program Keys and DSS Keys)

4.4.1 Program Keys

Tapping "Function" displays the function keys. 8 keys are displayed on one page.

Page selection
There are 3 pages (screens) of function keys. Tapping the number displays that page. If the status of
a function key that is not displayed changes, the page number for that key will blink.
Function key layout
• Page 1: Function keys 1–8
• Page 2: Function keys 9–16
• Page 3: Function keys 17–24
The function keys are arranged vertically, starting at the top left.

4.4.2 Changing the Function Keys

In standby mode, tap

Tap or , and then select "Key Option".

Tap "Program Key".
4.
Tap or , and then select the key to change.
5.
Tap "Function".
6.
Tap or , and then select the new item to assign.
7.
Tap "OK".

Specify additional settings, such as "Line", "Label" and "Phone Number" as necessary.
8.
Tap .
To assign functions to the DSS keys on a KX-HDV20, tap "DSS Key".

You can also assign a function by pressing the desired DSS key for 3 or more seconds.
To clear the current setting, tap "None".

Each of the function keys can be assigned one of the following functions.
