4. To allow for mower flotation, adjust tractor top center
link in or out until upper hitch pin is vertically above
lower hitch pins as shown in Figure 1-4.
5. Mower top link has 2 holes in it to adjust to tractor's lift
capabilities. Choose the hole that enables the tractor
to raise the mower to your desired height during
transport.

Refer to Figure 1-5:
1. Attach lower 3-Point hitch clevis (#1) to the two upper
holes "A" and "B" above floating slots. The position of
the lower 3-Point hitch clevis depends on the tractor
and tractor tires.
NOTE: This will lock the lower 3-Point arms into
position. Use 3-Point tractor float instead.
2. Attach the rear braces (#2) as follows:
a. If lower hitch clevis (#1) holes "A" and "B" are
attached to the deck, attach rear braces (#2) to
hole "E".
b. If lower hitch clevis (#1) holes "B" and "C" are
attached to the deck, attach rear braces (#2) to
hole "F" .
c. If lower hitch clevis (#1) holes "C" and "D" are
attached to the deck, attach rear braces (#2) to
hole "G"

Driveline Hook-up to Gearbox

Refer to Figure 1-3 on page 12:
IMPORTANT: The power take-off shaft and gearbox
input shaft must be aligned and level with each other
when checking driveline minimum length. A driveline
that is too long can damage tractor and implement.
39036 1. Check to make certain PTO is disengaged.
2. Park tractor and mower on a level solid surface and
place gear selector in park or in neutral and set park
brake.
3. Slowly engage 3-Point lift lever to raise mower until
gearbox shaft is in line (level) with tractor PTO shaft.
4. Support mower deck at this height with support jacks
or blocks to keep mower from drifting down.
5. Shut tractor engine off and remove switch key.
6. Remove and discard gearbox shaft protector (#9).
7. Before installing driveline, apply a liberal amount of all
purpose grease to both the tractor PTO shaft and
gearbox shaft (#9) to ease removal at a later time.
8. Slide universal joint of inner driveline with long cone
shield (#11) over mower gearbox shaft (#9). Secure
driveline with yoke locking device.
