Chapter 4 BIOS Setup
Description/Purpose
Enables or disables system ability to
hibernate (OS/S4 Sleep State). This
may be not effective with some OS.
Specifies the ACPI sleep state.
Suspend Disabled disables ACPI
sleep feature.
S1 mode allows the CPU enter
Stop Clock mode to stop executing
instructions.
S3 allows the platform to enter
Suspend to RAM mode.
Both S1 and S3 available for OS
to choose from allows the OS to
choose the sleep state type.
