2 Information Center Configuration

2.1 Introduction

This section describes the basic principle and concepts of the information center.
The information center works as the information hub of the S9300. By classifying and filtering
output information, the information center helps the network administrator and developers to
monitor the network operation and analyze the network fault.

2.2 Information Center Supported by the S9300

This section describes the information center features supported by the S9300.
Classifications of Information
The information center receives and processes the following information types:

Severity Levels of Information
Information has eight severity levels. The severer the information level, the lower the severity
level threshold.

Configuration Guide - Device Management
Description
A fatal fault occurs in the device so that the system fails to
run normally and the device must be restarted. For
example, the device is restarted because of abnormal
programs, or memory is detected faulty.
A grave fault occurs in the device, which requires urgent
response. For example, the memory usage of the device
reaches the threshold.
A grave fault occurs in the device so that measures are
taken to analyze or process it. Information of level 2 is
generated in the following situations: The memory usage
is lower than the lower limit; the temperature is lower than
the alarm limit; Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD)
detects that the device is unreachable or faults generated
by the device itself occurs.
