Disk Status
RAID Configuration
The My Book Duo device supports the following disk configurations:
Table 6.1
Supported Storage Mode
Stripe (RAID 0)
Mirror (RAID 1)
Individual Drives (JBOD)

RAID Status

Follow these steps to get the current status for the RAID configuration:
1.
Open the WD Drive Utilities software.
2. If you have more than one supported device connected to your computer,
select the one that you want to set.
3. Click
RAID Management
4. If not already highlighted, Click the
Status".
– use the following table to understand the different values for RAID

RAID Status
Description
The RAID disk array has errors and your
data is not accessible.
The RAID disk array contains errors and
the drives have corrupted data.
The RAID disk array is degraded but
your data is still accessible.
The RAID disk array is healthy. Your
data is accessible.
No RAID disk array has been created.
Either one or both drives are new.
The RAID disk array could not be
rebuilt but your data is still accessible.
The RAID disk array is rebuilding but
your data is still accessible.
The RAID configuration is unknown.

Check Disk Status for errors. If a drive
has errors, replace the drive.
Support
Check Disk Status for errors. If a drive
has errors, replace the drive.
Support
Install a supported WD drive and
rebuild the RAID disk array.
No action is currently required.
Either rebuild the array or build a new
RAID array.
Try rebuilding the array again. Also,
check Disk Status for a faulty drive.
Allow the RAID array rebuild process to
complete.
