Troubleshooting

WARNING
To reduce the risk of electric shock, turn power switch off and disconnect plug from
electrical outlet before performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks.

Possible causes
Power cord not plugged in
Blown fuse/tripped breaker
Dirt bag is full
Filter dirty
Hose not secure
Bag door is not in place
Vacuum path clogged
Rotating power brush drive belt
broken
Drive belt stretched
Floor brush bristles worn
Floor brush jammed
Remedies
Check electrical plug
Check/replace fuse or reset breaker
Replace bag
Check, remove debris or clean
Check to ensure the hose is secured
into place at both ends
Make sure the bag isn't caught
between the door and the body of
the unit and snap the door into place
Visually check air passageway, hose
inlet, and hose for anything that
might be obstructing the vacuum
path. Carefully remove blockage
Replace drive belt
Check drive belt area and remove
obstructions. Replace drive belt if
necessary
Replace floor brush
Remove floor brush and clean debris
from brush and ends, then check
drive belt for any damage
