Grounding

Grounding
Your system must be grounded. See the Grounding
instructions in your ProMix 2KS Installation manual.

Check Resistance

To ensure proper grounding, resistance between Pro-
Mix components and true earth ground must be less
than 1 ohm.
Have a qualified electrician check resistance between
each ProMix component and true earth ground. If resis-
tance is greater than 1 ohm, a different ground site may
be required. Do not operate the system until the problem
is corrected.

Pressure Relief
Procedure
NOTE: The following procedures relieve all fluid and air
pressure in the ProMix 2KS system. Use the procedure
appropriate for your system configuration.
Relieve pressure when you stop spraying, before
changing spray tips, and before cleaning, checking, or
servicing equipment.
Single Color Systems
1. While in Mix mode (gun triggered), shut off the A
and B fluid supply pumps/pressure pots. Close all
fluid shutoff valves at the pump outlets.
2. With the gun triggered, push the manual override on
the A and B dose valve solenoids to relieve pres-
sure. See F
. 5.

NOTE: If a Dose Time alarm (E-7, E-8) occurs,
clear the alarm.
3. Do a complete system purge, following the instruc-
tions under Purging Using Recipe 0 in your system
Operation manual.
4. Shut off the fluid supply to the solvent purge valve
(SPV) and the air supply to the air purge valve
(APV), F

5. With the gun triggered, push the manual override on
the A and B purge valve solenoids to relieve air and
solvent pressure. See F

NOTE: If a Purge Volume alarm (E-11) occurs, clear
the alarm.
