10 ERROR CODES
10.1
General on error codes
To facilitate the maintenance, error codes on display refer to internally found malfunctions: error
codes as such are no malfunctions, they merely point to the observed problem. As a general rule,
when the source of malfunction is located, it should not be repaired, but instead replaced with a
new component. All error codes can be removed from the display by pressing the RESET key.
10.2

SERVICE MANUAL
Error
Drive motor does not move.
Possible reasons: IGBT or motor in short circuit.
This error can only appear when the treadmill is switched on; a control pulse is sent
to the motor to check on the motor control and relevant connections. If the control
pulse can not proceed through the control loop, this error code is displayed.
-
If the IGBT short-circuits during use, possible error codes are E12, E13, or E15
-
If the motor short-circuits or there is a wire malfunction during use, the error
code is E12
-
In both above cases, the error code E10 will appear when re-starting the treadmill.
Drive motor running too hot. The thermal protector has released, wires are loose or
the control board is faulty.
Check the wires and test the control board by short-circuiting the connectors X1 and
X4. If no error code appears after short-circuiting, the releasing of the thermal
protector caused the error code. The code disappears when the motor cools off.
Loss of drive motor pulses. Check the speed sensor function from the LED. Measure
the speed sensor signal from the control board to the upper board with a multimeter.
Drive motor revolvs too fast with regard to the PWM control. The treadmill is used
incorrectly or a 115 VAC treadmill is used in 230 VAC environment.
Drive motor requires too great PWM control. This error code warns that the friction
is increasing. Check mechanic parts and re-lubricate the belt.
Faulty connections between control board and upper board or faulty control board.
The control board changes information with the upper board in intervals of 50ms. If
the upper board does not receive a signal for 1 second, this error code appears.
