• Do not use this car seat base if it is broken or
has missing parts, if it is second-hand or if it
has undergone violent stress in an accident,
as it may have extremely dangerous structural
damage.
• Do not modify the product.
• For any repairs, replacement parts or
information on the product, contact the post
sales assistance service. Details can be found
on the last page of this manual.
• Do not use this car seat base after 7 years
from the production date indicated on
the structure. Due to natural ageing of the
materials, it may no longer conform to the
standards.
Instructions for use in vehicle
• Place the base on the vehicle's rear seat, with
the anti rebound bar leaning against the
backrest.
WARNING: once screwed on, the anti
rebound bar must never be removed as it
forms an integral part of the product.
1• Pull the seatbelt's waist strap through the
two side routers of the base, making sure it
is taut, and fasten the seatbelt to the seat as
shown.
2• Place the car seat on the base in a rear
facing position.
• To fasten the car seat to the base, press down
on the product until it clicks into place.
• Place your child in the car seat,
remembering to secure him or her with the
safety harness.
3• Take the vehicle's seatbelt and pull it behind
the car seat's backrest. Slide it through
the routers on the rear of the backrest and
make sure it is taut, as shown.
4• To release the car seat from the base, you
must: release the vehicle's seatbelt and
remove it from the routers on the rear of the
backrest;
5• press the lever on the car seat's backrest
upwards and simultaneously lift the car seat.
The base remains fastened on the vehicle's
seat, ready for use.

Serial numbers

6• The following information can be found
under the Belted Base panel: product name,
production date and serial number, as well as
the orange type-approval label.
This information is required for any
complaints.

Cleaning and maintenance

• This product requires a small amount of
maintenance. Cleaning and maintenance
must only be carried out by adults.
• Clean the plastic parts periodically with a
damp cloth. Do not use solvents or other
similar products.
• Protect the product from atmospheric
agents: humidity, rain or snow. Extended
exposure to sunshine can cause colour
changes in many materials.
• Store the product in a dry environment.
How to read the approval label
This paragraph explains how to interpret the
approval label (orange label).
• The label UNIVERSAL indicates compatibility
with vehicles with static or inertia-reel three-
point seatbelts.
• The top of the label displays the trademark of
the manufacturing company and the name of
the product.
• The letter E in a circle indicates the European
approval mark and the number indicates the
country that issued the approval (1: Germany,
2: France, 3: Italy, 4: The Netherlands, 11: Great
Britain, and 24: Ireland).
• Approval number: if it starts with 04 this
indicates the fourth amendment (the one
currently in force) of Regulation R44.
• Reference standard: ECE R44/04.
• Production serial number: on issue of
approval each car seat is personalized with its
own number.
