Automatic Software/Map Update Notification
After you have completed product registration and logged onto Garmin's Download Center,
your unit will automatically check for the latest updates for software and map information
whenever the unit is connected to the Internet.
You can select notifications on the Status Notification Bar directly to access the update
page.
Select the desired update to view the descriptions in detail. To download, follow the
instructions on screen to complete the update process.
FREE lifetime map updates
Lifetime Maps entitle you to receive map updates when and as such updates are made
available by Garmin during the useful life of one compatible Garmin product or as long as
Garmin receives map data from a third party supplier, whichever is shorter. Not transferable
to another Garmin product. See www.garmin.com/numapslifetime for complete program
terms and conditions. Additional memory (purchase required) may be necessary for future
map updates.
Download Garage/ Travel Guide/ Travel Itinerary
After you login with your myGarmin account, you can access contents such as Garmin
garage, Travel Guide and Travel Itinerary offered by Garmin directly via your nüvi 4592LM
to customize your own trip.
Garmin offers a number of icons for different car models and you can download them for
use according to your preferences.
