Problems and Solutions
Solution
1. Ensure that system is not in power saving
sleep mode. Press the space bar or move the
mouse to wake the system up.
2. Check keyboard/mouse plugged in.
3. Check password (see Section 2).
4. Disable password (see Section 2).
5. Replace keyboard (or mouse).
6. Replace system board.
1. Check that system unit power is on.
2. Ensure that system is not in power saving
sleep mode. Press the space bar or move the
mouse to wake the system up.
3. Adjust brightness controls on LCD panel.
4. Check that LCD panel interface cable and
switch cable are connected to system board
(see Section 3).
5. Replace LCD panel.
1. Check PC card for correct insertion in slot
(label side up).
2. Remove PC card and insert in other slot.
3. Check PC card driver installation for IRQ
or I/O conflict.
4. Replace PC card with a different card to
see if system works. If card works, replace
bad card.
5. Replace PC card bay (see Section 3).
1. Turn system unit power on.
1. System unit power not on. Turn system
power on.
2. System power failed. Insert the end of a
straightened paper clip into emergency eject
hole, then gently press inward until tray
opens.
