Section 1 - Product Overview

Introduction

Congratulations on your purchase of the DNR-322L mydlink Network Video Recorder. The DNR-322L is a standalone wired
Network Video Recorder (NVR) which supports multi-channel network cameras with M-JPEG, MPEG4, or H.264 recording to
up to two high-speed 3.5-inch SATA hard disks. Thanks to the powerful embedded system, the NVR can record video from
network cameras located in local or remote sites without requiring your PC to be turned on.
Powered by mydlink technology, the DNR-322L can be easily set up for remote access over the Internet. It supports real-time
monitoring and playback from anywhere via an Internet browser. Simultaneous functionality means you can keep recording
video while viewing live video or playing back recordings. The NVR's complete video management, display, and playback
ability make it a convenient and reliable video recorder.
The availability of four different hard drive modes (Standard, JBOD, RAID 0, RAID 1) allows you to choose the configuration
best suited to your needs. Standard mode creates two separately accessible hard drives. JBOD combines both drives in
linear fashion for maximum space efficiency. RAID 0 combines both drives in a 'striped' configuration, which provides the
highest performance when using a Gigabit Ethernet connection. RAID 1 causes the drives to mirror each other, providing
maximum protection. If one drive fails while configured as RAID 1, the unaffected drive continues to function as a single
drive until the failed drive is replaced. The new drive will then be re-mirrored, allowing the DNR-322L to return to its full
protective state.
