INSTALLATION Continued
Wiring Instructions
1. Loosen strain relief by turning plastic screw counterclockwise.
2. Remove electrical cover plate (with strain relief) from fireplace
by removing two sheet metal screws.
3. Slide power source wiring through strain relief opening and
electrical cover plate and make all necessary connections.
4. Place all wiring connections into electric housing as shown in
Figure 6a.
5. Secure electrical cover plate with screws previously removed.
6. Tighten strain relief plastic screw.
Note: Electrical housing and cover plate have sharp edges. Wear
protective gloves.

VENTING INSTALLATION

OUTSIDE AIR KIT
Installation of outside air kit should be performed during rough framing
of fireplace due to the nature of it's location. The supplied flex duct
measures approximately 10" compressed and up to approximately 75"
extended. Outside combustion air is accessed through mobile home
floor using air kit model AK6F-6, included with the fireplace, or a side
wall using optional air kit model AK6W-6 (see Accessories on page 17).
AK6F-6 Only: The outside air vent is installed through a ventilated
crawl space (see Figure 7).

Locate air inlet on left side of fireplace's outer surround.
2.
Cut out any visible insulation that may obstruct airflow.
3.
Secure collar air duct with screws provided (bend tabs in before
installing).
4.
Secure and Seal Flex Duct to Collar with Metal Tape (Not Sup-
plied), Screws or Tie Straps (Supplied).
5.
Extend flex duct to attach to air inlet tube. Insert flex duct into air
inlet tube and secure it with metal tape (Not Supplied), screws or
tie straps (Supplied). Seal any remaining gaps around air inlet tube.
Combustion air inlet ducts shall not terminate in
attic space.
AK6W-6 Only: Construct an 8" x 8" framing or opening on exterior
wall (see Figure 7a).
The supplied flex duct measures approximately 10" compressed and
up to approximately 75" extended.
The maximum height for the air vent can not exceed
3 feet below the flue gas outlet of the termination.

Locate air inlet cover plate on left side of fireplace's outer sur-
round.
2.
Cut out any visible insulation that may obstruct airflow.
3.
Secure collar air duct with screws provided (bend tabs in before
installing).

4. Secure and seal flex duct to collar with metal tape (Not Supplied),
screws or tie straps (Supplied).
5. Extend flex duct to attach outside air vent termination.
6. Construct an 8" x 8" inside framing or opening on exterior wall.
7. Install outside air vent termination in a location that would not
eventually be obstructed by bushes, snow or other obstructions.
Locate vent near fireplace to make flex duct installation easier.
8. Extend flex duct to attach air vent termination. Insert flex duct
into air vent termination and secure it with metal tape (Not Sup-
plied), screws or tie straps (Supplied). Seal any remaining gaps
around air vent termination.

CHIMNEY PIPE
Label part number 900599-01 must be applied by the
installer to all chimney pipe sections but is not required
on sections that will be visible after the installation is
complete. Label must wrap around the circumference
of the pipe. See accessories, page 19 for Kit F2659.
