Press c or d to swtch RCA output set-
ting.
Pressing c or d will switch between
RCA :S/W (subwoofer) and RCA :NON (non
fading) and that status will be displayed.
Selecting the digital
attenuator
When listening to a CD or other source on
which the recording level is high, setting the
equalizer curve level to high may result in dis
tortion. You can switch the digital attenuator
to low to reduce distortion.
! Sound quality is better at the high setting
so this setting is usually used.

Press FUNCTION to select DIG.ATT.
Press FUNCTION repeatedly until DIG.ATT ap
pears in the display.

Press c or d to switch DIG.ATT high or
low.
Pressing c or d will switch between
DIG.ATT: H (high) and DIG.ATT: L (low) and
that status will be displayed.
# When the source is Cassette player, the digital
attenuator setting is fixed at Low.

Adjusting display contrast

Display contrast adjustment lets you adjust
the display for easier viewing when lighting
conditions change.

Press FUNCTION to select CONTRAST.
Press FUNCTION repeatedly until CONTRAST
appears in the display.

Press c or d to adjust the contrast.
Each press of c or d increases or decreases
the contrast.
+7  7 is displayed as the contrast is in
creased or decreased.
Switching the telephone
muting/attenuation
Sound from this system is muted or attenu
ated automatically when a call is made or re
ceived using a cellular telephone connected to
this unit.
! The sound turns off, MUTE or ATT is dis
played and no audio adjustments, except
volume control, are possible.
! Operation returns to normal when the
phone call is ended.

Press FUNCTION to select MUTE.
Press FUNCTION repeatedly until MUTE ap
pears in the display.

Press c or d to select the desired set-
ting.
Each press of c or d selects settings in the
following order:
MUTE (muting) 10dB ATT (attenuation)
20dB ATT (attenuation)
20dB ATT has a stronger effect than
10dB ATT.
