SHORTCUTS

Use the Shortcuts panel inside the door to
perform common cooking tasks at the push of
a button.

FAVORITE

The FAVORITE shortcut can be used to save
your most used cook, reheat, defrost or shortcut
setting. You can then easily duplicate your
favorite program at the push of a button.
To program the FAVORITE shortcut:
1. Set the microwave to your desired time and
temperature. Do this manually or choose
from any of the SMART COOK, SMART
REHEAT, SMART DEFROST or
Shortcuts settings.
2. Press and hold the FAVORITE button
for 2 seconds. 'FAVORITE' will be displayed
on the LCD screen.
3. Press START to begin your favorite setting.
The microwave will automatically save it for
future use.
4. Press the FAVORITE button at a later time
to display your saved setting on the
LCD screen.
5. To change your FAVORITE setting at any
time, repeat steps 1 and 2.

Beverage

The Beverage shortcut is suitable for reheating
hot drinks such as coffee and tea. This setting
will warm a room temperature drink to
approximately 140–150°F (60–65°C) which is
suitable to drink right away.
1. Position the cup or cups around the outside
of the turntable.
2. Press BEVERAGE
AMOUNT dial to select the number of cups.
3. Press START to begin reheating.
4. At the end of the reheat cycle, stir drinks
and allow to stand for 1–2 minutes before
consuming. Be aware, that overheated drinks
may scald or burn.

Melt Chocolate

Melt chocolate
The Melt Chocolate shortcut is designed to
melt chocolate without overheating or seizing
of the chocolate. This setting was designed for
melting dark chocolate; if using other types of
chocolate, check at short intervals to prevent
possible seizing.
1. If necessary, cut chocolate into small pieces.
2. Place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl
and do not cover.
3. Press MELT CHOCOLATE
the AMOUNT dial to select the weight.
4. Press START to begin melting.
5. Halfway through the program, the
microwave will beep and flash 'Stir/Turn
food'. Stir the chocolate then press START
to continue melting.
NOTE
At the end of the cycle, some of the chocolate
may still hold its shape. Stir until completely
melted and smooth.
Soften butter
The Soften Butter shortcut is designed
to soften butter taken directly from the
refrigerator (approx. 40°F/5°C).
Butter will be softened but not melted,
making it ideal for immediate use in baking
or other recipes.
1. Place butter on a microwave-safe plate or
bowl and do not cover. For best results,
butter should be cut into a single piece.
2. Press SOFTEN BUTTER
Amount dial to select the weight.
3. Press START to begin softening.
