SMART DEFROST

The SMART DEFROST setting is designed to
gently defrost foods without overheating it or
drying out the edges.
Press the SMART DEFROST
button to display the food menu
Turn the TIME/Food Type dial
to scroll through the available food types.
The arrow on the right indicates which food
type is selected.

least 24 hours and maintained at temperatures

For best results, freeze meat and chicken pieces
in a single layer no thicker than

The SMART DEFROST – MEAT setting is

suitable for defrosting whole pieces of meat
such as steaks and chops, as we ll as frozen
blocks of ground meat.
Remove any packaging, foam trays and
absorbent pads from the meat.
Place meat in a single layer on a microwave
safe plate and do not cover. Position thicker
ends towards the outside of the turntable.
Halfway through the defrost program,
the oven will beep and flash 'Stir/Turn food'.
Turn the frozen meat over then press START to
continue. For ground meat, gently break apart
any thawed pieces.
At the end of the defrost cycle, remove meat
and let stand 5–15 minutes to thaw completely.
