SMART COOK FOOD TYPES

Oatmeal
The SMART COOK – OATMEAL setting
uses 2 power levels, first 100% to activate the
starches and then 50% to gently cook the oats
to tender. The setting is suitable for rolled oats.
For best results, use 1 cup of water for every
½ cup of oats.
Measure oats accurately and place into a deep
microwave safe bowl. Add corresponding water
amount and stir to combine. Do not cover.
Halfway through the program, the oven will
beep and flash 'Stir/Turn food'. Pause and stir
the oats then press START to continue.
At the end of the cooking cycle, let stand for
5 minutes to allow oats to thicken.
Stir through milk, yogurt or cream and top
as desired.
Popcorn
The SMART COOK – POPCORN setting is
designed to pop the maximum amount of
kernels in each bag.
Preset weights are based on common bag sizes.
If your bag is between settings, use the higher
setting and monitor popping carefully.
Never leave microwave unattended. If popping
slows to 2 to 3 seconds between pops, stop the
microwave. Overcooking can cause fire.
Allow popped corn to sit unopened
2–3 minutes before opening bag.
