9: SERVICE AND DISASSEMBLY

9.1 FUEL TANK SYSTEM

Fuel and its vapors are extremely flammable and explosive under certain conditions.
• Refuel the generator only outdoors, in a well-ventilated area.
• NEVER enclose the generator in any structure.
• Keep the generator at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from buildings and other equipment during operation.
• NEVER fill the fuel tank while the engine is running. Turn the generator OFF and allow it to cool before filling with fuel.
• NEVER smoke or allow flames or sparks near the generator or where gasoline is stored.
• NEVER overfill the fuel tank (there should be no fuel in the filler neck). After refueling, make sure the tank cap is closed
properly and securely.
• Be careful not to spill fuel when refueling. Spilled fuel or fuel vapor may ignite. If any fuel is spilled, be sure the area is
dry before starting the engine.
• Avoid repeated or prolonged contact with skin or breathing of vapor.
