Chapter 2 Scanning a Document

Scanning documents

If the number of pages that you entered (or, counted) differs from the actually
scanned number of pages, an error message appears on the counter displayed
after scanning is finished.

Scan the document according to the currently selected feed mode.
Refer to the page indicated for details on each feed mode.
Remote mode:
Semi-Auto mode: "Scanning in the Semi-Auto mode" (P.37)
Auto mode:
Manual mode:

Load the document and start scanning.
• If the actual number of scanned pages is more than the number
of pages displayed on the counter display:
The document is scanned and scanning stops at the number of pages
displayed on the counter display.
The counter display changes to the "U01" error display, and the "Verify
Count Error" error message is displayed on the computer screen.
Go back and start counting the number of pages in the document again.
"U01" is also displayed together with an error message when a verify scan is made
without displaying the number of pages in the document.
