DCD1 Mode

Setting DCD1 mode to ON allows the exchange
of commands between the Control Unit and
DCD1+PS. In this case, it is assumed that the
MIDI IN on the Control Unit and MIDI OUT on
the DCD1+PS are connected and the MIDI OUT
on the Control Unit and MIDI IN on the
DCD1+PS are connected.

Note: Once the DCD1 mode information is
set, it remains stored even when the
power is turned off. Then, when the
power subsequently turned on, the
DCD1+PS turns on in the mode that
was set.
Note: • If the DCD1 mode is set to ON, MIDI
OUT on the Control Unit is used to
control the DCD1+PS, and so some
MIDI OUT functions that were
available before may be unable to be
used.
• If using the functions described in
"Disklavier & MIDI" in the
Disklavier operation manual, use with
DCD1 mode set to OFF and the
connection for not using PianoSmart.
See page 13 for details about the
connections.
Note: If DCD1 mode is set to ON and the
Control Unit is a DKC55, then when a
button on the DCD1+PS is pressed, the
DCD1+PS operates as if the same
button has been pressed on the Control
Unit.
