Connecting the Digital Camcorder to the TV

The camcorder has an AV port to use your larger TV screen in place of the camcorder's LCD
screen. On plugging the supplied TV-out cable to the camcorder's AV out jack, the LCD screen
turns blank. Use the camcorder as you would normally to capture and playback photos and
videos. The images will appear on the TV instead of on the LCD screen. The only limitation of
using the TV screen is that the camcorder is connected to the television and is now not portable.
CONNECTING TO A TV WITH THE AV CABLE
1)
Connect the supplied AV cable from your camcorder to your TV:
Connect the smaller, black end of the cable to the camcorder's USB port.
Connect the yellow jack into the TV – Video port.
Connect the white jack into the TV – Audio port.
Power on the TV and the camcorder, and then set the TV to "AV" mode.
2)
3)
Make sure the camcorder is set to the correct TV Output setting.
Set the TV format on the camcorder to suit the TV format of your TV set (NTSC or PAL).
4)
When the camcorder is set to Video or Photo Capture Mode, you can preview the scene you
want to record on the TV screen and view the recording live on the TV.
5)
When the camcorder is set to Playback Mode, you can review all of your captured photos
and videos on the TV as you would on the camcorder.
Note: The camera can also be connected to an HDTV.
The camera includes an HDMI port. Connect an HDMI cable (not included) from your camera to
your HDTV to view your videos and photos on the HDTV.
