    Please read this instruction manual and all other infor mation accompanying the washing machine before operating the appliance. Please retain all documents for future reference or for a subsequent appliance owner. Safety Instructions General Your washing machine is intended: - For domestic use only. - For washing machine washable fabrics in washing lye.

    Before using your washing machine for the first time Attention The washing machine must have been installed and connected properly refer to Page 29. i The washing machine was tested before leaving the factory. To remove any water left over from testing procedures, the first washing cycle should be carried out without laundry in the machine.

    Assembly, connection and transport d Risk of injury! Safety instructions The washing machine is very heavy. Take care when lifting it. Attention Frozen hoses may tear/burst. Do not install the washing machine in an area where there is a risk of frost or outdoors.

    Fixed to the appliance's rear panel: - The drainage hose - the cable and plug for connecting to the mains. Depending on the precise location chosen for the machine, the following may also be needed: - a 24-40 mm diameter clamp (from a specialised outlet), to install a U-bend.

    To guarantee a secure placement during the spin, Support surface The support surface should be secure and flat. Soft floor linings such as e.g. fitted carpets or floors with cellular plastic on the back are not appropriate. When the machine is to be placed on flooring above wooden-beam ceilings: q Where possible, place the washing machine in a corner.
