Press [INPUT SELECT] to select "A2".
You can select the input channel by pressing [W X CH].

Press [SHIFT]r[AV2/OPT] to select
audio input.
Each time you do this:
A2 ANALOG (factory preset): Audio input into the AV2 Scart

A2 OPT: Audio input into the OPTICAL IN terminal is
output to the speakers.
When "A2 OPT" is selected

While "A2 OPT" is displayed on the unit's display
Press and hold [SHIFT]r[AV2/OPT].
Each time you do this:
A2 AUTO (factory preset): When receiving Dolby Digital and PCM

A2 PCM FIX: When receiving only PCM audio
∫ When receiving Dolby Digital Dual Mono signals
You can change the audio mode.
Press [SHIFT]r[AUDIO].
Each time you do this:

≥Dolby Pro Logic II
≥Down-mix
∫ Dynamic range compression
You can change this setting to listen to Dolby Digital sound at low
volume (such as late at night) and maintain audio clarity. It reduces
the peak level in loud scenes without affecting the sound field.
Press and hold for about 2 seconds
[SHIFT]r[AUDIO].
Each time you do this:
A. DR COMP OFF (factory preset): The original dynamic range.

l DR COMP STD: The level recommended for household viewing.

a- DR COMP MAX: The maximum allowable compression
(recommended for night viewing).

Maintenance

The precision parts in this unit are readily affected by the
environment, especially temperature, humidity, and dust.
Cigarette smoke also can cause malfunction or breakdown.
To clean this unit, wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
≥Never use alcohol, paint thinner or benzine to clean this unit.
≥Before using chemically treated cloth, read the instructions that
came with the cloth carefully.
Observe the following points to ensure continued listening and
viewing pleasure.
Dust and dirt may adhere to the unit's lens over time, making it
impossible to record or play discs.
Use the DVD-RAM/PD lens cleaner (LF-K123LCA1) about once
every year, depending on frequency of use and the operating
environment. Read the lens cleaner's instructions carefully before
use.
