4. Refrigerant piping work
1) Cut the pipe with a pipe cutter ensuring that the cut edge remains flat and then remove all the burrs.
2) Make sure that the flared pipe doesn't have uneven thickness, damaged and cracked surfaces, or any other defects.
3) You must use torque wrench when connecting pipes or flare nut.

• When installing, pipe should be connected properly so that there is no leakage on the pipes and when recovering
the refrigerant, stop the compressor before disconnecting the pipes. If the refrigerant pipe is not properly

connected and the compressor works with the service valve open, the pipe inhales the air and it makes the
pressure inside of the refrigerant cycle abnormally high which may lead to explosion and injury.
5. Leakage test
- When inert gas such as nitrogen is inserted into the pipes on the outdoor
unit and leakage test has been performed with soap lather or the liquid for
leakage test, there shouldn't be any leaking part.
6. Connecting drain hose
1) As the draining is of natural drain type, install the drain pipe in downward
direction and pour water to check for proper drainage.
2) Connect drain hose to the outdoor unit since water will be generated
during heating or defrost operation. (Drain hose for outdoor unit should
be purchased separately.)
