Recording to an MD

Signal Synchro recording
Even if your recording source is not Onkyo
-compatible, you can perform synchro-
nized recording.
1. Press the INPUT button until
"Digital In1", "Digital In2" or
"Analog In" appears.
You can perform signal synchro
recording with both digital and analog
recording sources.
2. Press the EDIT/NO button until
"Signal Rec?" appears.
3. Press the YES button.
"Complete" appears, then the unit
enters the Signal Wait mode.
Note:
If no signal is input for approx. 30
seconds in the input signal waiting
mode, the MD recorder will enter the
recording standby mode.
Recording start as soon as the unit
receivessignals from the recording
source while "Signal Wait" is dis-
played.
Synchronized recording to the
Cassette Tape Deck (MD-Synchro
recording)
When the MD-185X is configured into a
system with Onkyo Separate Collection
series components (CR-185X/CHR-185X
and K-185X), synchronized recording from
the MD recorder to the cassette tape deck is
possible.
1. Insert a cassette tape in the cassette
tape deck and set the cassette tape
deck in the recording standby mode.
See the cassette tape deck instruction
manual for how to set the deck in the
recording standby mode.
2. Press the
button on the MD
ø
recorder (or the
button on the
¬
remote control).
The cassette tape deck starts recording
as soon as the MD starts playing.
When the MD program is completed,
the cassette tape deck stops recording
and enters the recording standby mode
again.
To stop MD-synchro recording
Press the
button on the MD recorder. The
ß
cassette tape deck then enters the recording
standby mode.
