5. With the unit in recording standby
mode, press the INPUT button to
display the current Level Sync status
(LvlSyncOn or LvlSyncOff).
You can change the Level Sync status
by pressing the INPUT button again.
With "LvlSyncOn", the track number
will be recorded automatically for each
track.
• If the Rec source is "CD" or "MD", track
numbers are recorded automatically.
Note:
For automatic track number recording,

the recording source must be able to

transmit digital signals including those
for identifying the beginning and end of
each track. If your recording source
does not have this capability, track
numbers will not be recorded automati-
cally. In this case, turn the Level Sync
On.
Note:
To Manually Record a Track Number
While recording, press the
button when you wish to mark a track
number.
If you wish to mark two or more track
numbers sequentially, provide a
sufficient interval between each press

If TOC is flashing when you press the

button, it means the MD recorder is
writing the recorded contents onto the
MD. During this period, do not
disconnect the power cord or apply
strong vibrations to the MD recorder.
Doing so may prevent normal recording
onto the MD.
This function is enabled when "LvlSyncOn"
is displayed (by pressing the INPUT button
in the recording or recording standby mode).
In this state, if the unit receives no signal
