≥ Open the lens cover before turning on the unit. (l 8)

Open the LCD monitor.

stop button to start
recording.

stop button again to pause recording.
≥ There are 2 recording formats that can be used with this unit: AVCHD that records
full high-definition motion pictures, and MP4 that records motion pictures suitable
for playback and editing on a PC. To change the recording format, refer to page 50.
≥ Still pictures can be recorded while recording the motion picture. (l 25)
≥ The images recorded between pressing the recording start/stop button to start recording
and pressing it again to pause recording become one scene.
When you record with the recording format set to MP4, it will automatically be divided to a
specific period of time or specific file size. (Recording will continue.)
≥ In the case of SD cards it is the maximum number of recordable scenes per card.

When the number of recordable scenes or number of different dates reaches to the
maximum limit, additional scenes cannot be recorded.
≥ While recording is in progress, the recording will not stop even if the LCD monitor is closed.
≥ Maximum number of recordable scenes and maximum number of different dates will be
less than above when there are both MP4 scenes and still pictures recorded on an SD
card.
