Use a ratcheting torque flathead screwdriver to tighten the captive screws on the sides of the power connectors.
When you are testing the switch, one power source is sufficient. If you are installing the switch and are using a second
power source, repeat this procedure for the second power connector (DC-B), which installs just below the primary power
connector (DC-A).
When you are installing the switch, secure the wires coming from the power connector so that they cannot be disturbed
by casual contact. For example, use tie wraps to secure the wires to the rack.
Connecting Power to the Switch PoE DC-Input (Optional)
This procedure is applicable only to the IE 2000/2000U switch models that are PoE capable. If you have a PoE capable
IE 2000 switch and do not plan on using PoE, you do not need to attach power to the PoE DC-input connector; the switch
can operate without the connection being made.
