Troubleshooting Guide
Problem
The LCD is dark.
The picture is disrupted
during fast forward and
rewind.
No picture on the LCD
(including video from
another unit).
Picture doesn't appear on
the television (or the size
of the picture seems
wrong).
The SETUP menus and
other screens shown on
the television are
displayed incorrectly.
Colours appear faded.
LCD pixels turn black or
radiate different colours.
[Í] and [CHG] indicators
The [Í] indicator flashes
rapidly.
The [Í] indicator flashes
slowly.

Adjust the brightness. E

Ensure the input setting is correct. U
Select a picture mode other than "OFF" (no picture). E
Ensure the power of the connected equipment is on.
Make sure the LCD off switch is not being held down. 3

Check that the television is on.
Check that the input mode on the television is correct.
Check the settings in "Video—TV Aspect". S
The unit and television are using different video systems.
Use a multi-system or PAL television.
The LCD is constructed with precision technology so
99.99 % of the pixels are active, but of the remaining of
0.01 %, there are pixels that may be black or emit light
constantly. This phenomenon is not a malfunction.
The unit has malfunctioned. Consult your dealer.
The unit is on and the LCD is closed or the display mode
is set to "OFF" (no picture). Turn the unit off when you
have finished. E
There is a problem with the built-in battery or battery
pack. Turn the unit on and check the message on the
LCD. c
Battery charge is low. The unit will turn off automatically
after a few minutes. =
