∫ Video systems
This unit can play both the PAL and NTSC
video systems. To view PAL or NTSC on
your television however, your television
must match the system used on the disc.
PAL discs cannot be correctly viewed on an
NTSC television.
NTSC discs can be correctly viewed on a
PAL television equipped to handle PAL
525/60 signals.
For Asia
You can improve the quality of video from
an NTSC disc when this unit is connected to
an NTSC television by changing this unit's
settings (
page 38, Video—NTSC Disc
Output). The LCD will lose colour when you
select "NTSC", but the picture on the televi-
sion should be clearer.
