When looking at the specifications on a pedal's power supply, realize that the current
rating on the power supply will be higher than what is actually required for the pedal
(for the reason previously mentioned). However, you will not be able to determine how
much higher. Therefore, you really can't determine exactly how much current each pedal
requires by the power adapter's specifications alone. The specifications listed in the pedal's
user guide will often refer to the same specifications listed on the power adapter, so this
may not help either.
If you are unable to determine how much current is required for a pedal, contact
the pedal manufacturer. Also, if you happen to have a multi-meter, there are ways of
determining how much current a pedal will draw. Information on how to perform this
test can be found online.
Note: The ratings indicated on the V-10 chassis are maximum ratings per output when each
output is considered individually. However, the total maximum output from the power supply
must be de-rated by 25% when all outputs are operated simultaneously. See "Specifications" for
further information.
