Method

charging with a
variable

Measure
the
open
circuit voltage
before charging.

Connect
the battery
charger and
amperometer to the battery
and
start to charge.

Check
that
the current
is
higher
than the standard charging
cur-
rent indicated
on
the battery.
NOTE:
The
current
must be measured 30
minutes after
stopping
the cycle.
NOTE:
Set the
charge
voltage
at
16- 17V.
(If
the setting is lower, the charge
will
be
insufficient.
If
the setting
is
too high, the battery is
overloaded).
