Check;
Free
play
at
the
end
of
brake
lever
(A)
Out
of specification -4 Adjust.
Free
play

the
end
of lever):
10 - 15
mm
2.
Adjust:
Brake
lever free play

Adjustment:
Extract the adjuster lock spring.
Turn
the adjuster
(1)
either
way
to
obtain the
correct free
play.
Screwing
Free play diminishes
Unscrewing
Free play increases
Reassemble
properly the adjuster safety
spring.
CAUTION:
Proper
lever free
play
is
essential
to
avoid
undue
brake
pad
friction.
A
WARNING
A
soft or
spong
feeling
in
the
brake
lever
can
indicate
the
presence
of
a!r in
the
brake system.
This
air
must
be
removed by
bleeding the brake
system
before
the
motorcycle
is
operated.
Air
in
the
system
will
cause
greatly
diminished
braking
capability
and can
result
in
loss of
control
and an
accident. Inspect
and
bleed
the
system
if
necessary.

the eccentric
screw
(2).
Turn
the eccentric
either
way
to
obtain the
correct free play.
Tighten the
eccentric
screw.
Recheck
brake pedal
free play.
