BRUSHROLL: How to Clean
,& WARNING ,&
To reduce the risk of injury from moving parts
- Unplug before servicing.
5.5 Turn vacuum over so bottom side is facing up.
Remove any debris and/or hair from brushroll.
For additional maintenance required for belt or
brushroll please contact a HOOVER_ service provider
at 1-800-944-9200.
5.6 Vacuum is equipped with an automatic brushroll
shut off.
5.7 Check for obstructions in the brushroll area and
remove any obstructions. To reset the brushroll,
press the ON/OFF brushroll switch (B) OFF and
wait for the red light to go out. Then press the ON/
OFF brushrol! switch again.
LUBRICATION
The motor and brushroll are equipped with bearings which contain sufficient lubrication for their lifetime. The
additional of lubricant could cause damage. Do not add lubricant to motor or brushroll.
A NOTICE
A Thermal
Protector
has been designed
into your cleaner
to protect
it from overheating.
When
the
thermal
protector
activates
the cleaner
will stop running.
If this happens
proceed
as follows:
1. Turn cleaner
OFF and unplug it from the electrical
outlet.
2. Empty dirt cup.
3. Inspect the nozzle
inlet, hose connector,
hose, dirt cup inlet, cyclonic filter, washable
filter, and
filter made with HEPA filter. Clear any obstructions.
4. When cleaner
is unplugged
and motor cools for 30 minutes,
the thermal protector
will deactivate
and cleaning
may continue.
If the thermal
protector
continues
to activate
after
following
the
above
steps,
your
cleaner
needs
servicing.
