Items for check
Check if the following audio data
from the AUDIO DSP (IC501) are
output from the SOUTH CPU
18,19
(IC202):
(Ach)BFDATLA/BFDATRA
(Bch)BFDATLB/BFDATRB
Check that the cables that
connect the SMAIN and SJACK
Assys and SW power supply unit
-
and SJACK Assy are securely
connected and if there is break-
age in the cables.
Check if the protectors (P10 and
-
P11) are damaged.
Check the following input signals
and voltage to the DAC
(IC506/IC507) :
• V+5A
10~13,
• DACRST
• DAC_SPICLK
15
• DAC_SPIOUT
• DLRCK
• DBCLK
• DAC_16M
Check the voltage (V+8ND) input
to the regulator IC (IC555).
-
Check if DACRST# signal is
output from AUDIO DSP (IC501).
-
Check if the SPICLK and
SPIOUT signals are input to the
10~13
Level Shift (IC505) and the DAC
SPICLK and DACSPIOUT
signals are output.
If the DLRCK and DBCLK signals
are not input, check if a signal is
-
output from the AUDIO DSP
(IC501).
Check the mounting status of
35
IC559 from which the DAC_16M
clock signal is output.

Causes and measures
If no signal is output, check the mounting
status of the SOUTH CPU (IC202). If it is
properly mounted, the port connector may be
defective; replace it.
If a connection is loose, firmly connect the
cables.
If there is breakage, replace the Cable.
If power is not supplied to the audio filter
(IC10/IC11), no audio signal is output. If the
protectors are damaged, replace them.
• If V+5A is not supplied, go to [4].
• If no signal is input to DACRST#, go to [5].
• If no signal is input to DAC_SPICLK or
DAC_SPIOUT, go to [6].
• If no signal is input to DLRCK or DBCLK, go
to [7].
• If no clock signal is input to DAC_16M, go to
[8].
If power is supplied, check the mounting status
of the regulator IC (IC555) and its peripheral
devices. If they are properly mounted, they are
defective; replace them.
If no signal is output, check the mounting
status of AUDIO DSP (IC501). If it is properly
mounted, the port connector may be defective;
replace the AUDIO DSP (IC501).
If a signal is output, check the mounting status
of the level shift (IC506). If it is properly
mounted, it is defective; replace it.
Check the mounting status of the level shift
(IC505). If it is properly mounted, the port
connector may be defective; replace it.
If no signal is output, check the mounting
status of the AUDIO DSP (IC501). If it is
properly mounted, the port connector may be
defective; replace it.
If the mounting status of IC559 is OK, that IC
may be defective; replace it.
