Cause/Solution
Hide info is selected for Photo info in Monitor
settings in the setup menu.
Time zone and date has not been set in the setup
menu.
• The current shooting mode does not support Print
date.
• The date cannot be imprinted on movies.
The clock battery is exhausted; all settings were
restored to their default values.
The battery temperature is high. Turn off the camera
and allow the battery to cool down before resuming
use. After the lamp flashes for three minutes, the
camera turns off automatically. Pressing the power
switch also turns off the camera.
The camera may become hot when used for an
extended period of time to shoot movies or send
images using an Eye-Fi card, or when used in a hot
environment; this is not a malfunction.
When Autofocus mode is set to Full-time AF or
while in some shooting modes, the camera may
produce an audible focusing sound.
