Standard Setting

Adjusting Idle Speed
Engine stops while idling
: Check the standard setting at the
low speed screw (L).
: Turn the idle speed screw (LA)
clockwise until chain begins to run –
then back it off one turn.
Chain runs when engine is idling

low speed screw (L).
: Turn the idle speed screw (LA)
counterclockwise until chain stops

after every correction to the low speed

: Run the engine for about 10
seconds at full throttle – with the
chain and bar mounted.
