Section 2 - Setting Up With a Web Browser - Access Point Mode
Wi-Fi.Protected.Access.(WPA/WPA2)
This is a newer and more secure protocol for wireless security.
It uses a cipher combined with a pre-shared key (password)
to encrypt data being sent over the wireless network. It is
recommended that you use this security method if it is supported
by your wireless clients.
Security
Select WPA-Personal from the drop-down menu.
Options:
WPA Mode:
Select Auto, WPA2.Only, or WPA.Only. Use Auto if
you have wireless clients using both WPA and WPA2.
Cipher Type:
Select the cipher type used to encrypt the WPA key. TKIP.
and.AES is recommended, but you can also select AES or
TKIP.individually.
Pre-Shared Key:
Enter a pre-shared key (password) to secure your wireless
network. Wireless clients will require this password in
order to connect to your network. It is recommended that
you make a record of this password for future reference.
