Examples
of the
JV-80
This
section
provides
specific
operating
examples
that
take
you
step-by-step
in
using
some
of
the functions
of
the
JV-80.
Using
the
JV-80
in
Live
Performance
The
JV-80
has
many
realtime
performance
functions
that
let
you change
the
sounds
as
you
play, letting
you
respond
instantly
and
effectively to the
changes and
conditions
that
occur
in
a
live
performance.

Patches which
are themselves
sound
programs can be
finely
adjusted.
Parameters
that
especially
lend themselves
to
being
changed
in this
way
are
level, cutoff,
resonance
and
the attack time of the envelope.

brightness

sound

adjusted.

that
the
cutoff
values
of

corresponding
Tones change
by moving Parameter
Sliders

4 and
that
the timbre
of
the
sound
itself
changes
as
well.
Even
without being changed,
this
Patch
itself
has a
particularly
brilliant
sound.
Tones 2
and 3
are especially
important
in
determining
the characteristics
of
this
sound
program.
Use
the
appropriate
Parameter
Sliders to adjust
the
cutoff of
Tones
2 and 3 and
notice
how
the brightness
of
the
sound
continually changes.

suggest
that
you
turn
off
the
sounds
of
Tones
1
and
4
with
by
the
Tone
switches so
that
you
more
easily
hear
the
change
in
the
sound.
Even
though
the brightness
(frequency elements) of
the
sound remains
the
same,
the character
of the
sound
can be
altered
by
adjusting
how
the
sound
starts.
