In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, earthing will reduce the risk of an electric
shock by providing a path of least resistance for the electric current. This appliance is
equipped with a cord having an equipment-earthing conductor and an earthing plug.
The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and earthed in
accordance with all local standards and requirements.
IMPORTANT: The wires in the appliance power supply cord are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Green and Yellow = Earth
Blue = Neutral
Brown = Live
If the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance do not correspond with
the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
• Connect the green and yellow coloured wire to the terminal in the plug that is
marked with the letter E, or with the Earth symbol, or coloured green, or coloured
green and yellow.
• Connect the blue coloured wire to the terminal in the plug that is marked with the
letter N, or coloured black.
• Connect the brown coloured wire to the terminal in the plug that is marked with the
letter L, or coloured red.
