ENGAGEMENT SPEED CHECK/PARKING BRAKE PAD
INSPECTION/PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT

ENGAGEMENT SPEED CHECK

1. Place the machine on a level surface of hard-
packed snow.
2. Check:
•
Clutch engagement speed
Checking steps:
•
Start the engine, and open the throttle lever
gradually.
•
Check the engine speed when the machine
starts moving forward.
Out of specification → Adjust the primary
sheave.
Engagement speed:

PARKING BRAKE PAD INSPECTION

PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT

1. Measure:

Adjustment steps:
•
Loosen the locknut 1.
•
Turn the cable adjuster 5 in or out to until the
specified clearance between the brake pad 6
and disc 4 is obtained.
•
Turn the brake pad adjusting bolt 2 in or out
until the specified clearance between the brake
pad 3 and disc 4 is obtained.
•
SDN2470
Tighten the locknut.
